The hostel is in a five storey building that used to be a
factory. It is right next to Schlesisches Tor U-Bahnhof (underground
station) and the River Spree at the line between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain where the two halves of the city
meet. The unsophisticated charm of the brick building in the courtyard feels more like an alternative hotel than backpacker
accommodation. There are 44 quiet spacious rooms which cost between 66 DM and 110 DM without
breakfast. Double, three and four-bedded rooms cost between 93 and 144 DM. A dormitory bed is 30 DM. The breakfast
cafe, “Cafe Eisenwaren” is linked with the hostel. Hot meals are also available in this lively friendly street
cafe. |
